I've never fished it, but I hear that fishing around the river outlets in the spring can be good (Kitchie & Andrusia). Nav

Cass has great structure, including nice rock breaks and bars, great weeds, and some really sharp sand breaks outside of reed beds. I have caught walleyes in all these places, but have never really targeted them as such, I was there fishing muskies. I believe if you approach this body of water like most any other that time of the year you will find good walleyes near all these areas.

I did find big schools of nice perch on the sand behind islands and on mid-lake bars, right out in the open. The walleyes there must be targeting those perch.

Thanks Steve! It sounds like I ought to get there for some muskie fishing with Cady.

I used to live close to Cass Lake. Word of advice....don't leave your rig sitting around town very long.
