You are thinking of the SG-17 LCA. For what it's worth I've heard of some problems with them and even more so with Diawa's cheaper version the AD (Accudepth) series. The SG-27LCA is just about bullet-proof in my experience. More versatile too with the slightly larger line capacity. I spool mine with 8/30 braid and they do double duty for planer boards and dipseys. The 17's will definitely do for trolling boards and they are more comfortable to hold.

Thanks for the reply Tim. The accudepth series is similar to what many companies in the industry import or have in the past and they are bad. I know, my company imported them for a couple years and got lots back. I've used them and there are many problems with them after only a short amount of use.

Thanks alot for those other two part numbers. Exactly what I needed. I'm sick of tearing the other type apart and fixing them. What is approximate retail on the 17's and 27's?
