Swampbuck, no new date was set. Several options were talked about. Some of them were as follows. 1. Make the Petenwell event a two day 2. have the make up event in July on GB 3. have the event on GB out of Stergeon Bay 4. add another event on Bays de Noc in August or Sept.

Steve Poll was going to send out emails or letters to everyone entered Sunday and inform them of what was going to take place. Watch the WWA web site for info or watch the WWA forum here for more details. I know that whatever happens it will be a hard decision for Steve as he can't please everyone. I hope everyone gives him the support he needs to make the decision and nobody whines, yells and screams at his decision. It certainly must be a logistics nightmare to reschedule. He needs to contact the DNR and get a new permit, line up a launch site, and not schedule on another tourneys date. Even refunding everyones money would be a hassel. I am sure he will do what he feels is best for all.

Ya gotta give a break to the Tourney directors with all this crazy weather. In Northern Illinois this past Sunday, poor Bernie and the GNWC had to contend with the waterway agency to decide to keep open or close down the chain o lakes. AND some of this debate after a delayed start and the boaters already having left, fishing in an entire no wake waterway. This horrible and strom fronts is a huge headache for all concerned....with no easy answers or solutions nor unanamious agreement. Mike

The main concern was due to the severe weather and safety of the participants. That was a good call and even better to discuss it with the boaters.
