I'm heading up to Lake Wis. tonight for an extended Memorial Day weekend. The river is high and muddy but oh well. Being a veteran, my flag will be held high, and my thoughts will be of those who gave their lives for this country and our boys in the middle east. Always Remember......

It is the soldier, not the reporter,Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet,Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the soldier, not the campus organizer,Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the soldier, not the lawyer,Who has given us a right to a fair trial.
It is the soldier, who salutes the flag,Who serves under the flag, And whose coffin is draped by the flag.
Have a nice weekend everybody.---seerad

Hey Seered- Thanks for the message. There's wisdom in those words. I've read them before but it's always a great reminder.

Myself.... I'll be on 'Bago somewhere. It wasn't so good today but at least the sun was shining.

Prefishing Green Bay on Saturday, and the MWS on SUnday. Wether looks great for Saturday. Sunday? Well, let's just say that I'm glad I have a considerate partner for the MWS. He got a comfy seat, and portside console for me on his new boat! Me thinks I will need both come Sunday! Thanks, Sunshine!

Mike, I heard the bite on the east side has been pretty good. Wally Divers in 7-8 feet was getting good numbers of eaters. I will be out the following weekend both days. We should get together. I'll give you a call during the week.

I will be causing havoc in the Miskie population up here for the opener. Walleyes will be on the menu in the early morning at least one day of the three day weekend!

Most of the lakes up here are way up from the rain also, but not terrible. Some of the landings are pretty tough because the 'drop off' is now too far our, so be careful launching this weekend!

Looks like an early morning trip tomorrow for 'eyes and muskies!

Friday, mowing the lawn since it finally dry for the first time in 2 weeks!

Sat., I finish my commitments at the restaurant for this year.

Sunday and Monday sounds like I'll be testing the water repellant properties of my guidewear!

Fishing Winnebago all three days. Not too interested in catching fish, but going to look for likely spots and test out all the equipment.

I had planned on taking the kids out on Lake of the Woods for their first "big water" adventure, but our forecast is for severe thunderstorms. . With gas prices what they are, I can't afford to haul them to calmer weather. Oh well, maybe we'll hunt mushrooms between downpours. Have fun everyone, and stay safe.
