Wulp.

Spent the day chewing the fat with an old friend, Mr. Bo the Bo, Bowman. Had a few laughs with him, his install man and his German Shothair, who seems to have a nasty grass habbit. She either loves to dig it up or eat the old black sod clumps from the week before. Anyway, Mr Bowman finally found the time to get me fixed up with my new TR-1 autopilot today, along with the 8 horse HT Yamaha kicker. I should be able to pull every trick in the book on them Saginaw Bay walleyes now. Plus the gas money I'll save to offset the units cost will be a lot more than I first expected given the recent gas price surge.

Richfish.

Yupper, those are trim tabs. Pretty much a must on a beast as heavy as the Grady White. Plus, they really help when getting up on plane quickly, or when people just have to set in the same seat like love birds on a charter.

Hey Dan, nice set-up. Hopefully next year one (TR-1) will go on my new Lund I just got. I'm just a little cash shy right now LOL

Heres a picture of the monster Steve. I think Bo and I are going to take her out next week and get me used to all the settings and control pad on the TR-1.

Dan,

Looks like that boat is sitting just where we left it when we brought her home from storage a few weeks back. She does have a better polished finish on her from what I can see, thanks to Skeeter I'm sure. But as for the kicker motor, well lets just say, I'd have preferred you waited a little longer and got one of the new ones with the black cowling on it, but thats just me!!

Take care buddy, I'll talk to you soon, I'm sure!

Hey eyedoktr, If you're in Wisconsin, contact Rick Larson for a TR-1. If in Upper Michigan, contact Capt. Marty Papke for one or if you're any where else contact me @ [email protected] Cheers, Bo

Hey Capt. Dan, That's a beautiful set-up even if I do say so myself. Let's try for Thursday for the maiden voyage. Drop me a line and we'll confirm. Hey Rick Larson, when you read this, How do you like your new TR-1 speed actuator? Please, let me know, Bo

The actuator parts all fit together smooth and the directions were easy to follow. Pete and I had it together in no-time.

And that actuator will improve my trolling skills - BIG TIME! Can raise and lower the rpm's of the kicker minutely with the press of the button on the keypad. No more running to the back of the back of the boat to play with that stupid throttle on the handle!

Now I have plans to hook up my Lowrance to it so it'll bring me to my waypoints on it's own.

Jack.

Yup, she gets hauled back to Lindys today and probably flopped in the water on Monday. I would have considered any small 4 stroke kicker, it really wasn't a personal choice decision. But that Yammie 8 Horse High Torque has it all and then some. Man, the prop on it, is almost as big as the props on my Merc Crusier outdrives. I'll have a better essesment of the overall package and it's operations high and low points after a couple trips. I'll give everybody my honest opinion again then.
