I know this is a walleye fotum but does any one know where to catch the bass (largemouth and smallmouth) on the big lake. i have fished up there a couple of times this year but have not been able to find them. I do not have problems finding them on the other three lakes in this chain. I would like to find them because i heard that they run a little bigger and the smallmouth put up a real nice fight.

Right now they are thick in the weeds,off Roe Park in Neenah..some 6lbs the other day,just drop a leech or crawler into a weed pocket and hang on....hafe

that is up by the north part of the lake right.
are there any good spots near the mouth of the fox river (going in to lake poyan) and the south part of the lake. I'm not to sure of the lake. I do not get on it alot. i'm from chicago and maybe only fish it 2 or 3 times a year but that is mustly on the other lakes on the chain.

Be Carefull alot of flooding going on up here and rivers are posted as no use in certin areas also some minor lakes are off limits also.

OFF LIMITS........FOX RIVER WEST OF OSHKOSH,TO EUREKA'CLOSED'..WOLF RIVER FROM WINNECONNE TO NEW LONDON' CLOSED' LAKE BUTTE DES MORTS CLOSED'..COULD BE MORE COMING, IN NEAR FUTURE....HOWEVER THE SIGNS SAY ..CLOSED TO RECREATION BOATERS/ IS FISHING RECREATION?

thanks for the info. with work now it does not look like i can get up there again until mid of july. are the bass in the same spots then or do they move some where else. i know you said about the neenah spot. Are there any spots a little more south. I mostly put in at lake poygan by the golf course. because if i don't do good on the big lake i can fish my normal spots that i do good at. I was up here last sat morning. and my father caught a 35in. northern i have a picture of it but i do not know how to upload pic onto this site.

we did pretty good on the white bass and largemouth. all fish were caught on lures. spinnerbaits and crankbaits.
