Well, Ol' Rick Larsen, his partner Pete and a close friend of his named Bob (who won the Ontario MWC tournament) have been in town since Saturday morning and pre-fishing the Bay. I was actually surprised to run into them at the ramp at Lindys marina on Saturday morning. They took me out to dinner Saturday night for some prime rib and we had some good laughs. I've been sharing with them all the info I have about the Bay, my own recent trips success or lac of, and recent hot spots that I've heard about. Sharing this info with close friends (or with anybody that asks for that matter) can often have it's own rewards. One of these rewards is a good reputation as a decent guy and straight shooter. I believe it's this kind of attitude that often brings other good deads and favors to your own table.

You'd be surprised how many personal e-mails I get daily telling me how my fishing reports and message board posts have helped plane folks (and yes Pro's) catch more fish. Others e-mailers will often share their own techniques and hot spots with me, while simply stateing they felt obligated to do so for some kind of payback for me (off-handedly) helping them. I'm attaching a picture of another assest for being helpfull. Two MWC pro's chartered me yesterday, picked my brian about the Bay, and ran lines all day while I simply drove the boat through some good/likely spots. Real nice guys from Brainered Minnisota, willing to give back to me in a monitary way the things they gleemed from our day out fishing. We caught 8 nice walleyes during our trip and they weighed each one, just to see what the weight would have been. We estimated we had about 22 pounds in the box before 12:30pm. I'm thinking that would have not put the boys in first place. But they at least have a good game plan now for the coming weekend.

Most of the MWC folks are straight shooters, that is a well run and well established circuit.I bet the weights it takes to win out there will surprise a few people!
