I picked up 3 new guide trips over the next 2 weeks. I got confirmation on a couple of trips for next year, and to top it off,..... I just learned that I have 2 tickets for the VIKINGS game at Lambeau Nov. 14th.. WOW, CAN LIFE GET ANY BETTER!!!

Yes, I am a TRUE VIKINGS FAN! I will wear my purple and gold to the game with great pride and accept any and all critizism I might have thrown at me, but I WILL BE THERE!!!!!!!

I have been, and always will be a fan of the game first, and the VIKINGS are my team of choice, but as a true fan of the game, I understand that I am going to have the chance of a lifetime to finally walk on the most hallowed grounds left in the NFL today, Lambeau Field, and watch the most famous rivalry in the game today, and for that, I am THANKFUL!!

I hope all my friends here at Walleyefirst will accept me, and if you happen to be at that game, offer me your hand in friendship and we can enjoy the game together. Of course, may the best team win! ( I'll leave that for each of you decide who that is). As the time draws closer, let's plan a meeting if possible. (I undestand the best Bloody Marys in Green Bay are served at the bar at the Best Western across the street from Lambeau, so I'll start there about 8 AM and work my way to Lambeau from there. Only one problem, kick off isn't till 3:15!!

Oh well, sounds like a long day already!!! I can't wait.

Jack,

I would love to be there, but that is the prime time bow hunting. Who knows maybe I'll get home early just for a game as important as this.

I tell you what, it sounds like you will still be in town on Monday. I could buy you breakfast or lunch. It'll probably be lunch, because you'll need to sleep late after crying in your beer after the Vikes get a good arse whoopin!!

I'm pretty sure I'll be sleeping in that day regardless of the outcome of the game!

Shep, Sounds like a good time. After a morning of fishing, I'll want to visit the Packer Hall of Fame if they are open.

Jack,

The Packer Hall of Fame will be open any of those days. It is now part of the stadium and if you have not seen the redone stadium it is awesome. It alone may turn your purple and gold into green and gold. Ok may not.

Anyways on Sunday don't limit yourself to just the Best Western, there three great bars within a block of the Best Western - Stadium View, The Bar and Anduzzi's.

Better make your reservations now, if you haven't already. And yes rates are jacked up on home game weekends.

Bob,

Thanks for the info. Pat Cavins has offered me a place to stay, and Best Western is only a starting point because of the Bloody's. I plan on seeing those other famous institutions also, but........ which one do you think will be the safest for me to go into and celebrate after we win?!

I heading back up to Mille Lacs in an hour or so, so take care, and I'll talk to you later.

I probably missed you, but they all would be safe. You'd just have to pay a cover to get in.

I'll also be flinging sticks at the deer that day, almost a guarantee. Football is good, but deer hunting, well that's just about as good as it gets!

Hey Jack, Finding a safe bar is the least of your concerns, "if you stay at my house". Did you already forget how the basement is fixed up. Also my Rottweiler wears a Gilbert Brown Jersey all weekend & she hates purple. Good Luck, Pat & Christy

JLDII,

As a season ticket holder and a DA BEAR fan I will give you some advice.
1, Frist don't stand up and say FIRST DOWN if Vikings get one
2, If a packer fan start something be wise not to comment on Green Bay being a one sport town or Brett Farve about to retire cause he is getting too old to play game.
3, Inside game if a guy dressed with a pope hat comes near you and ask to kiss his ring be careful it not what you think
4, Get used to the joke that packers are trying to trade for Randy Moss so they can have a Couch, a Davenport and a Lazy Boy on same offence.

I state this in fun and just poking at all my packer friend’s loyalty to their only game in town.
The only games I am allowed to go to are the Bears and Packer Game my wife’s family takes the seats for the rest of them usually. So GO Bears and PACK (except the on Sept 19 and 1-4 I think) I be listening on Sirius Radio when fishing this year and traveling home from a show’s and hunting this fall and early winter coming up.
