| Would you guys say that ice fishing is way behind from average this year? When are you guys "normally" finding conditions such as this for ice fishing? Seems like things are JUST getting started. Thanks in advance for any help, working on an area article for Wisconsin Outdoor News.

| Doc, I think it's about average as the past 5 or 6 years anyway! Lat year I felt comfortable ice fishin on X-MAS eve on the river, this year it might be off a week or 2, but if anything I think the long range forecast looks promising to make good ice, lets just keep the wind away and we'll be fine!
Good Luck
Tyee
P.S. good to hear from ya again! |

| Thanks Tyee. Been fishing a little until ice up and busting my hump trying to pay the bills plus manage some new opportunities. Trying to add about a dozen new customers to my base business this year, I sell rust inhibitors and re-usable wood boxes to industry. Turning it BACK in to a full time job. Well that's easy to say with the river froze solid, I'm sure the Huck Finn in me will find time for a little fishin. Maybe we can ice a few this year!! |
