 Member Posts: 2680 Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | Knowing full well that my fishing days in Ohio waters are limited every year, and the crankbait arsenal needed for this short period should be kept down (for sane monitary reasons) to the best choices, I've made mine this afternoon at Franks Great Outdoors. These are of course educated choices from the last two years fishing out in front of Huron Ohio for those (Fined/Scaled Dinosaurs) That the locals lovingly call walleyes.  And of course, I fully expect this thread to be bombarded with personal RR color choices from everybody else viewing this thread. And I bow to these other color choices from guys who practically live on Erie this time of year. These are simply my personal favorites along with a new color that I just had to have. That of course is my name sake color of "Walleye Express". This lures color pattern history is long, and was first lovingly called "Pinconning Paralyzer" when first ordered in the Custom colors Franks had made up and ordered years ago from the old Storm Lure company. It then was changed slightly both in pattern/color design and named by Dave Storm himself in my honor, and it then became a regular Winning Streak color when he developed/started Dave's Lures. Dave now works closely with the RR owner concerning color idea trade-offs, so that's how it all happened. So it's not because I or the color have become famous on Lake Erie, but that would be nice if it happened. So this first picture is a side/top view of that particular RR. Then the rest of my choices. So what are yours? Top to bottom... 1. Walleye Express 2. Monkey Puke 3. Fried Chicken 4. Cheap Sun Glasses 5. Gold Watermelon 6. Steve, be carefull. We don't want Dan to think he can sell them as a "signature series" and make an extra buck a pop on them!! LOL  | |||

If you would be so kind as the pick up 4 of them in Reef Runner and 4 of them in Ripsticks and bring them down to me next week I'd be happy to pay you for them and buy the first round at Spreaders as well as share a few details that might not make it to the Internet or over the radio... I'd include Blueberry Muffin, Bubble Gum, Purple Demon, Fruit Loops, and Blue Hawaiian on my list Steve Steve. I actually had the Blueberry Muffin and the Bubble Gum in my basket, but realized that those put me over my (one dozen only) rule I made before I left the house. And even though I know those colors you mentioned are hot on Erie, it's the others I did buy that we couldn't keep in the water last year. And I'll be glad to pick you up what you want from Franks, but I won't be at the Get-Together this year. I am planing to come down/over either the 3rd thru the 5th or the 10th thru the 12th of November, closer to when we did so good last year. I'm assuming the longer one waits (season wise), the closer to shore they get, right? Anyway, I'll get back in touch with you as the time draws near and we determine 100% rather it's deffinetly going to be a-go or not. I'll pick up your order then (no problem) if you still want them. If I have to sign each of those skinny/slippery lures, it will diffenitly be an extra buck. Actually, Franks sells them for $4.99 each. Not being a true Reef-A-Haulic, I'm not quit sure if thats a good deal or not.  I know they were 3 for $10.00 last year at Dennys. But those were supposidly (color mistakes) or seconds in some fasion. Fish didn't seem to notice the difference. Edited by walleye express 10/13/2004 3:01 PM | ||
