Location: Oklahoma | Greetings, and Happy belated Thanksgiving! I am STUFFED! I am definitely thankful to have food to eat.
Did any of you get out and fish? If so, how did you do? Do you all eat walleye for your Thanksgiving Dinner?! I bet some do!

Location: Rhinelander | I didn't eat TOO much, but Sue's Thhanksgiving turkey meal was absolutely perfect!
Our lakes here are skimmed over with ice, and it's snowing like mad this morning. Looks like winter is here for good, with the temps only in the 20's all next week. |

Yup, I ate way to much smoked Turkey and Lake Trout. But being fat to begin with, kinda hides the seasonal gluttony effect.
Hard to say for sure, but it looks like a few more days/maybe weeks of fishing open water on both the Saginaw and the Tittabawassee, with the Titt. lasting a few weeks longer because of the current factor. Both of course, are fisheries and techniques where the jig and minnows are the most selected ammo. Going to try and get back a few more nights to troll the Saginaw, (as long as it and the ramps stay open), with some shad sized cranks for those night eyes. You and I have to talk about you going back into your families lure building archives and re-making the original "ThinFin" in a few of the favorite colors. :).

Location: Chicago IL. | Our thanksgiving was spent at great lakes navel base serving up 600 turkey dinners. we carved up 35 turkeys and had all the trimmings. We were exausted after and went out to a resturant for dinner. Then got home and drove to Genoa on pool 9 for the weekend.

Location: Loves Park, IL now Mt. View Ar. | Spent the week before Thanksgiving with some friends fishing Lake Erie around Huron. Had some great weather only got blown off one day. It started off slow 3 eys the first day a 10# plus with a 5# & 6#er. Everyone was pulling Reef Runners.
The second day was not much better with know one in the group getting their liments, we had a total of 4 in my boat. One better then the day before. Pulling reef runners in asorted collers, the blue demand was the one that was catching the fish.
After the blow day we all went out again in the morning, the bite was slow with a few fish taken here and there. Everyong was still pulling reefrunners.
Here is were I switched over to Dave's Nitro Shiners, Putt one on the outside line and in a minutes a pull back, a nice 8 #. let it out again bang a nice 6#er. We came in with our first liment 12 nice walleye.
The rerst of the trip I ran all Nitro Shiners, had are liment each day with 30 to 40 fish a day being landed and released.
Had a great Thankgiving with friends on the Great Lakes, can't wait to get back again next year for our fall get together.

Location: Loves Park, IL now Mt. View Ar. | Jake, #454-Perl / Chart. Red Throat was the killer. I ended up running three of them off the boards, with a reef runner on the last board. I had many doubles going, once the fish were located.
