Location: Neenah, WI | Yesterday afternoon we recovered the second truck in eight days that had broken through the ice. The area is just a couple of hundred feet west of Blackbird Island. The truck we got today broke through just 20' away from where we recovered the Suburban on 2/7. If you are traveling in that area you must stay close to shore. I'll add that there are many tire tracks through the bad area and there's only about 4" of ice. This guy just slowed down at the wrong time. The ice is pretty rotten looking stuff too. This wasn't a full size truck either, it was a little Nissan 4 cylinder. All 4 wheels were on the bottom in about 3' of water.
I would say that's pretty good service for a $15.00 membership!!!!!! |
