This picture was taken before a day of prefishing for the Spring Walleye Classic on Potholes Reservior in Washington State. I was getting ready to launch the boat and thought that this would make a great landscape shot. After I got the boat in the water I was able to locate some larger fish moving in and out of a spot where two spillway channels formed a Y. It was just one of those spots that makes a person all warm and fuzzy inside. Because basicly all the fish I was catching were over 3lbs, with the occasional kicker in the 7-8 pound range. I ended up fishing the spot both days of the tournament and on day 1 we were able to get a limit of 6 fish for over 18 lbs putting us in 5th place. Day 2 was a diffrent story, many, many boats decided to fish the same small area, and there was a lot of baot traffic. We managed to land 4 fish for a little over 12 lbs. We ended up in 6th place overall.

This picture just set the tone for a great tournament and fun time.

Here are some great pix from this year, my best big walleye year ever. All caught in Lake Michigan and it's drowned rivermouths. I just found the site, looking forward to participating.
