The World Walleye Association (WWA) released its final schedule for the 2005 tournament season today. The WWA will hold an Eastern and a Western Division Championship, with the National Championship for 2005 qualifying teams occurring in the Spring of 2006.

The WWA will also host two "open" events which are transferrable to any division, one on the Mississippi River in Red Wing, MN, and one on Lake Erie at Bolles Harbor.

These tournaments are limited to the first 100 teams to enter and all contestants must be members of the World Walleye Association.

The entry fee schedule for the four divisional qualifiers is as follows:

Entries for less than the entire division received by the priority date (7 days prior to each event) will be $210.00 each

Entries for less than the entire division received after the priority date will be $250.00

The deadline for receiving entries will be 10:00 pm on the Friday before each event. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE DEADLINE.

The fee for entering an entire division (4 events) is $800.00 This may be done with a $450.00 deposit (includes two memberships)

The balance due will then be $100.00 per event due at each registration & rules meeting.

Teams entering an entire division will also receive 200 bonus points.

All entry fees now include entry into the big fish pot, and a portion of each entry goes into a conservation fund.

The WWA is a friendly, fun, and affordable way to participate in the competitive world of walleye fishing. Extensive media coverage of tournament results can be found on www.walleyefirst.com and www.worldwalleye.com along with coverage in the Badger Sportsman Magazine, the official publication of the WWA. Subscriptions to the Badger Sportsmen are included when anglers become members of the WWA.

These are just some of the reasons anglers choose to fish the WWA, "A Tournament Circuit For Fisherman, Run By Fisherman".

The World Walleye Association is sponsored by Yarcraft Boats and OutdoorsFirst Media.
