| Looking for some help... I've been fishing the Northeast Canadian side bays of Lake Ontario for years. I'm from the Southern Vermont area and I'm looking to try the NY side of the great lake this Spring. I've read a lot of good articles about the Black River Bay, Chaumont Bay, Guffin Bay, etc... I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience with these areas? Mainly Spring time bay fishing. General questions like... 1. What have you had success using for bait and/or lures? 2. A good time to hit them coming into the bays? (I know this can vary greatly... Looking for ballpark... Mid May? Early May? Late May? Early June?) 3. I have a list of campgrounds and hotels, but if you have a recommendation, I'd be happy to hear it. Any tips/help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! (Gary) |

Location: Nazareth,Pa | Check the walleye central brd.ask for Walteye,he fished there regularly every spring. I gave up on the area, overharvested in my opinion. They get them early in may for a short time. Last year the pro tourny guys had a tough fish, lots of one fish teams for two day derby. I fish Quinte in the spring, much better I believe, you might want to try Onieda lake ,roughrider |

| Thank you for the information. I'd love to talk to "Walteye", but where do I find this "Walleye Central Board". (sorry for my ignorance) Thanks again for the information. (Gary) |
