Member Posts: 38 | I know something like this has been done before but I's like to modify it to accept my sort of questions. How many different rods and reels doy ou own and how many of each size and type of combo do you have?

Member Posts: 129 | Trent, That's a tough one. If I was certain my wife wouldn't read this I could disclose that information, but as of now, I must keep it "Classified"! Seriously I have more trolling rigs, but a wide variety. Remember (maybe I need to remember) that you can only use 2 at a time! 6 Diawa SG27LCA with braided line on St Croix t-scopic trolling rods. 2 Okuma Convector 15s with mono on BPS P&K rods 2 Okuma 20s with 2 colors of lead on 8' 6" Cabelas t-scopic rods 2 Okuma 20s with 3 colors of lead " 2 Okuma 30s with 4 colors lead " 2 Diawa 47s with 10 colors lead " 2 Quantum Accurist PT on 6'6" St Croix rods Approx 6 Shimano spinning reels for anything from vert jig to slip bobbers. Be careful, it's an addiction. Tim Joseph

Member Posts: 38 | Yeah I know I bought 4 rods and reels this year and Im already thinking of buying even more. Although I dont think Ill need em cause all my fishing is on a Northern Canada, small and shallow (deepest part is 35 feet) lake. But I was wondering, do you really need an 8'6'' rod if youre not going to be using planerboards?

Member Posts: 2300 Location: Berlin | Trent, I have close to 40 set-ups. My advise is to check on ebay. That is where I buy almost all my stuff. You can get some unreal deals. I never bid more than 50% of what it sells for in stores. I never buy used either, always new. Be careful though. It takes me a VERY long time to get all those ready for the upcoming year.

trent long rods are nice for not ripping out hooks using braided line until you can get setup how you like get a 7'-0" rod in medheavy and you can manage 3-4OZ bouncer/spinner combos as well as troll for walleyes/northern/lakers/ with the same rod just keep your drag set light i have about 15 trolling setups and it would be very expensive to get all in 1 year
