I spoke with Doc a few weeks back about the schools and his instructional DVD. I know the schools will be well attended and the reviews should be great! Attached is the information for the Minnesota Schools and a copy of his DVD cover.

Thank you for posting the School schedule. It has been very interesting and a work in progress to teach an audience of varied skills. I do some very technical demonstrations on computer software when I show how easy it is to create your own maps. If you don't have computer skills it is a view of the future. Bill and I try very hard to explain everything from basic sonar and GPS to transferring your waypoints to the computer in methods the student understands. Our visuals really help to demonstrate our points. A large part is questions and answers. Bill and I have found we enjoy them and hope to do them again next year. Doc

Netminder,
No Schools in Detroit this year and we have not finalized any plans for next year. It is an option.

I see Doc's next class is coming up Saturday in Lakeville. You guys will have to ask him if he has any extra goodies to look at.

Got to sit in on Doc's and Bill's Lowrance Class at Lakeville yesterday. It's hard to believe but they are getting even better at this. I had fun talking to some of the people at breaks and trying answer guestions and sneak into Bruce's computer to show a couple of the maps.
You know what, I was actually accused of enjoying making maps. OH YEAH. And with working with Bruce its all that much for fun. And it's great seeing the smoke coming out of every ones ears as things they use to just accept as is start to make sense. At the end of the day you could see the wheels turning.
I think the last three classes are going to be even greater.

I was fortunate enough to be at that seminar, and would highly recommend it for anyone, regardless of your computer abilities....Answered alot of questions that I had...Very relaxed learning format...Doc and Bill obviously enjoy and are passionate about what they do.....Tom

Warren,

We unfortunately did not meet. I had to get home and was unable to talk to you about mapping....You were being mobbed....Hope to get that chance in the future.....

Tom,
Halfway thru the School I was going to ask "Who is Tyee Guy?" but it slipped my mind until the drive home. I would have liked to shaken your hand. I am glad you enjoyed yourself.

Hey,

No problem....I will likely see you at another school, as I was unable to digest all the information..even looked at the DVD again after I got home...

You and Bill do a terrific job, and it is refreshing to see people that are passionate about what they do....

Good luck in the future...

Tom
