| Just wondering how I and several of my friends started getting unsolicited e-mails telling us to check out the new web site with some old names.
Anybody else getting mail?

| I got one this morning. Deleted it without reading so I don't know the contents. I do that to any mail that comes from places I never heard of. |

| I just wonder if they know that sending solicitations from other web sites e-mail lists is a big no-no?
I know several guys who got the e-mail.
I deleted it after reading it and blocked them.
Had enough of other sites a long time ago.

| I think I remember the first part of that site name as a tackle company but can't swear to it. Guess I won't dwell on it either. |

Otherwise it is possible the names were harvested somehow.
Not a good thing to do.
For the past 2.5 years wf is the only fishing site I visit.

| I just found the WF forums, they look great!
I am a member at Catch-N.com/forums also and they are very nice folks. I had signed up by the e-mail that twolinesdown2 had sent. I have no problems over there. |

| Sorry guys that you may have beeen offended by our "guys" asking you to give Catch-N a look-see.
Our guys are excited to get the word out about a new site they happen to like.
No one there is being paid to spam nor have we bought names-lists.
I started the Catch-N site from the need to not have my own posts edited or deleted and a wish to end years of working under site politics!
Beaver, I give you my sincere apoligy for any improper past relations between us. Water under the bridge for me that I can not now change the flow of.
The internet is huge... but it is not so huge that word does not get round when you are being discussed.
I mean not to be a "bother" to anyone here at WF.

| I guess i don't consider emails about fishing related forums to be spam. I have found many good sites this way. Also if you have your email address shown in your profile it is public information, anyone can get it, therfore it would legally not be a "NO NO" .
