What IS this, 'make-up' for the easy winter here so far? 6" to a foot, depending where one lives. Sheesh. Of course, I have to take a 20' Esox Deep V to a show tonight...

I hear ya' Steve!!

And if you are hauling that boat to the Milwaukee Show you'll have snow the whole way! They're talking 1-4 inches here depending on where ya' live. As I type this, I can see a HUGE bank of snow clouds rolling in.......Truley MARCH MADNESS

By the way..AWESOME PICTURE on the main page from years past. I see some real familiar faces that look way to young

Geez, its sunny and 72 degrees here in Minneapolis!! hehehe

Really though, maybe we are due for a late spring. The last few years have been pretty easy on us. Maybe we've just gotten a little soft. I know I have, but thats mostly around my beltline!!

Drove 133 from Dubuque to Cabelas (for a fix) along the river yesterday and it was beautifully sunny. Today I get out of my truck and take the worst tumble of the year. What's with this? Can't get a good run of maple sap either. Slow developing spring.

Tom,

That sounds like a good time. Say hi to Erik for me.

Any chance you and Erik can make it up to the pond for a day this summer?

Where do you go in the keys? I've been going fishing there for 20 years.Do you get the feeling that fishing here sucks when you get back? Sure isn't like dropping the bait down and getting bit instantly up here in the cold country is it?I have some great connections if you get to Islamorada.

I hope to hook up with you this summer, but Erik is out with his work on the Everglades...We will be going to Great Bear in July for lakers, grayling and a fly out to thre Coppermine for char......As to the other question, I've never fished the keys before, but will be on Marathon and fishing around the 7 mile bridge.....spring tides are in and there is a full moon next week, can't wait...

Maybe we can get together in April at the MPLS sport, boat and camping show...I plan on going on Saturday 4/2.....Let me know....

Well, Jack, more snow on the way. It's a curse. I'm not getting 'soft', just old, I think!!
