| this question is pointed to the people that have used or own Yellow bird paners or offshore or-10 releases.
I just bought 2 yellow bird planer boards, the kind that dont stay put on your line when the fish hits, and I was wondering if when a fish does hit, if sometimes it will not hit the planer stop and slide all the way down to the fish. Since I'm not done college yet and have limited fund, can I just use my 7' casting rod for the planer boards? and last but not least can I use OR-10 releases with 12 pound, 6 pound diameter spiderline?
Thanks,
TRENT

Location: Otterlake MI | they do slide down to the fish if you don't put some kind of stop about 18" to 3' in front of the lure rubber core sinkers will work but will also slide with the board on ocasion i went to a smaller swivl in the back and speed beads on the line and it worked fine super lines can be used on any realse but you need to loop the line to keep it from sliding down the line in wich case your yellow bird won't work right i went to the off shore boards more money but worth it the run better in rough water and dont slide down the line and cause fish to be lost if the stop don't hold hope this help good luck and tight lines :)a godd 7' casting rod should hold up in most trolling situation as long as the water is not to rough

| trent you will still need to loop the line out it in like you would if it was mono and loop it over the top and back through the ralase |
