As a follow-up to WalleyeFIRST's Dave Landahl's article now up on the front page:

I spoke with Denny Lantzy and Ken Bjorkman today at Bulls Shoals Boat Dock, and both reported what I had heard several times to day:

The Bull Shoals walleyes are AWOL.

It seems he fish are spawning now and are in the shallows thick at night, but no one can get them to go much during the day. There's been a few caught, but few and far between.

"I got one 12 incher a couple days ago, and a another today, but that's been it", said Mr. Bjorkman, who drove to Arkansas to fish the FLW from Marshfield, Wisconsin. " We hope the warm weather will get them going, or it's going to be tough! Even the Bass and panfish have been slower than usual."

" It could change just like someone throwing a switch out there." said Denny Lantzy, who hails from Warren, Michigan. " We are on the fish, and know where they are, so all we can do is go fish them and hope they turn on."

Scott Fairbairn simply stated he hopes his luck wasn't burned out with a couple fish he's caught during prefishing.

Watch for Dave Landahl's preview and event coverage on the WalleyeFIRST mainpage , the WalleyeFIRST Live Leader Board, and photos from the water and the stage.
