This is a post that was put on another walleye site. I am just wondering how it will far on this site.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I wonder if Larry Anderson the so called spokesperson for the resorts and fishing guides is going to tell everybody how the DNR is planning to sample the treated -6,000,000 stocked fry in Leech Lake.

According to Harland Firestine the area fisheries Mgr. And Henrey Drews The Nortern Reginal Mgr.they plan on sampling 1-2 percent of that number to see if the fish stocking program is working or not,

The one thing the DNR did`nt tell Mr. Anderson when he so strongly helped get the New Regs pushed threw <-The 17-26 inch Regs.>is they are going to net these young fingerlings after they have made through the one of the toughest stages of life and murder them to see if there is any marking agent which is located in there bones.

This process should only affect 60,000-100,000 fingerlings.

Just think about that!

The sampling must take place. This will help show how stocking does`nt work well on Leech.

This amount of young fish to be killed at a time when every fish is so important for the economy. This is CRAZY!

I understand the mayor Tom W. wants the lake stocked more. Harland and Drews said N-O .

This process of killing all these young fish will be for -just to prove a point!

The talk of following the DNR`s Computer Molding Programs is getting out of control. The #ell with the programs lets get the fish in the lake.

This is another example of the DNR working in the best interest for us the LIC. buyers in this state.

The Info that I write about can be answered at your Walker DNR. Office.

Why don`t you check it out!

I think Mr. Drews has to be told to keep his programs off of our lakes!

Let the field workers do there jobs the old fashion way-The one that kept our lakes full of fish.

More Info to Come,

Tom Nightingale
