Location: Rhinelander | Day one of the FLW Walleye on Bull Shoals Lake in Bull Shoals, Arkansas dawned cold and misty, after a line of thunderstorms rolled through late last night. 105 boats blasted off at 7 AM headed out to what has been reported to be a very tough bite. Water temps and air temps are about the same at 54 degrees, with scattered showers forcast this morning and a few thunderstorms this afternoon. Winds are SE at 9 MPH. "Some of the Pros are on fish. There have been some good fish caught.", said Mark Dorn of the FLW. It seems that no matter how tough the bite, a few of the Pros almost always do figure it out. Watch the Live Leaderboard this afternoon beginning about 3PM Central. Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]()

Member Posts: 2393 Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | It's been awhile since I posted here.......mainly because I went down to Bull Shoals prefishing with a friend. My initial reaction was "what a great fishery"! I caught a 21"walleye in the first three minutes of fishing. That started a first good day of walleye fishing. I actually spent the next two days with an underwater camera in hand looking for walleye. Those addicted to fishing can appreciate that this was a blast for me. The 8-10 hours spent each day staring at the underwater world and trying to decipher why walleye were at one spot and not the other was exciting. All that being said.............. The reports that everyone is hearing are very true. Many fishermen have not caught a single walleye in a week of prefishing. Those who have been lucky to catch one or two are not real excited because the fish have been very small. This will be a very interesting and very frustrating experience for the participants. The report that Sworral gave on the main page stands true, many are pulling out their hair because they see the fish but can not get them to go. I also read that Mark Dorn states that some are on fish. It'll be interesting to who that is and what they figured out. They have something going that most have not adjusted to. Good Luck to all WF' ers and friends. I'll predict 25 pounds for the tournament.
