While pre-fishing Friday afternoon for the MWS on Winnebago, my tiller handle broke on my 125 Merc. While Mercury was not willing to help a tournament angler in distress by authorizing a special order, they did put me in touch with Merten Marine in Oshkosh. I had been thinking about getting the Power Tiller Steering installed anyway, so I decided to go that route. The guys at Merten's were great - they worked all day Saturday installing the system and making other repairs to get me in my boat for the MWS tournament (the results of our fishing is a whole other story...).

So Thank You to the guys at Merten Marine!! You were awesome, and I really appreciate your help getting me back on the water in time for the tournament.

I highly recommend these guys if you need any work completed on your Mercury. And the Power Tiller Steering is simply fantastic!

Bill,
I will make sure that Jim, Tim Jeff & Matt get to see your message. They are some of the nicest people around period! I am sure they will appreciate the kind words. As for the steering, how do you like it? Pretty *** *** eh? Those guys impress the heck out of me all the time and I see them every week.
I hope you enjoy your system and good luck at your touneys! If you get any pictures with the steering in use post them up here!

Quality folks and a great product. The Enginesteer is a very cool way to power up a 20' boat comfortably with a 150 HP tiller!

The Power Tiller Steering is nothing short of fantastic, I can steer my 125 Merc with two fingers. Merten's also made some major motor adjustments that has my boat performing at max. Thanks again, guys. I'm a happy first-time customer.

Metens steering will be on my next tiller boat, it isn't even an option to me.....

Glad the guys were able to get you going and thank you for telling about people who are willing to go the extra mile as a matter of course in a day's work. Too often we only hear the bad, it is nice to read about the good guys!

Her is another vote of confidence on the Mertens system. I have it on a 2060T Tuffy with a F150 Yamaha. On Mill Lacs this weekend and we had 20 mph winds and that is exactly why I wanted the system. Any trim angle or conditions and driving is a breeze. In addition, my Tuffy was equally impressive. Whata great ride in rough water, quick on plane and handles extremely well no matter where it is trimmed. I am over propped at the moment with a 23P Tempest until the 21P gets here but I still hit 52 mph plus lightly loaded at 5500 rpm.
