I have used the line since early this spring and not had any real problems with it. I love the visibility, but cant say I have caught more because of it compared to the other lines. It is very nice for finicky panfish in deep clear lakes. I put that to the test the past few weekends with great results.

What are your thoughts on this line? Is it too expensive for mono?

If it works well, lasts long, and you bought it and like it, it's not too expensive.

Price to me means nothing....but to an average Joe....?
I have some time with and am not dissapointed in the line YET....I am sure there are guys that have used it more than I have and just looking to compare some notes and opinions from the good fisherman on the site.

Berkley truely amazes me on how they come up with some of this stuff!

I just fished the MWC at Henderson Harbor and had the Transition on two of the rods. I can't say whether it was the line or not but final results for my 2 days of tournament fishing were transition= 4 fish, leadcore with flouro leader = 1 fish, Fireline with flouro leader= 1 fish. During prefishing, the results were about the same as during the tournament. I was using 14# test and never once worried about the line while bringing a fish in. I plan on buying a couple more reels and spool them with Transition.

I also used it for icefishing last year (4#) and it performed flawlessly in the cold as well.
