Location: Elgin, Illinois | That 124 lb record Blue Catfish died while being transported to Cabelas in Kansas City... That's too bad... Would have been nice for lots of folks to get to see something like that... |

| Now it will probably be mounted, so everyone might still get a chance to see it....if he doesn't hang it on his living room wall, of course...;-)

Location: Northern Illinois | The guy that caught it was on one of the early morning talking shows with his wife this past week. Also saw some interesting home video of the fish when they took it out of his boat. Says each Cabelas is getting a replica, and was HOPING Cabelas gets one for him as well. Makes me wonder what his Cabelas deal consisted of........... |

Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | Thats really a bummer. Older Cats must be more fragil than the younger ones. I once left a catfish in my trunk for over a day in the hot sun. When I remembered and threw him in a pail of water, he was swimming around in 20 minutes. I was initially torn how I actually felt about the guy taking the Old'Boy out of his elements and using him for a live display. But to much thinking along those lines, seems to PETA'ish. Still a bummer he died.
