"the past week of June on Little Bay de N"

Since last posting we've been on the waters just about everyday and catching fish each day! Water temps. running in the middle to upper 60's and with this extreme warming the past days temps. running into the low 70's. Most mornings with light winds and calming conditions and by afternoons seeing mostly southerly winds kicking up a chop aerating the waters and pushing baitfish shallow putting Walleyes on the feed.
Scattered storms have been moving in and out this past week with more predicted throughout the weekend and going into the upcoming week.
Warming weathers have definitely put the fish into a better feeding mood along with fish starting to pattern into the newly forming weedbeds and breakline structures both in the upper and lower bays.

Fishing methods working best have still been jigging using lead-head 1/4 and 1/8th. ounce jigs tipping with crawler pieces, sucker minnows, leeches and our "ace-in-the-hole" bait everyday Berkley "gulp!"
Walleye's Choice crawler harnesses (http://www.walleyeschoice.com) are hard too beat and Capt. Keith does indeed have a great product.
We've been using both bottom-bouncers in 2 ounce weights and also fishing weightless over the shallow water areas.
Tipping with real crawlers and using the "gulp" minnow worms in 7 inch length. Fishing using planer boards and just flat-lining.
Might try and use some shallow diving crankbaits as well, hearing of anglers doing quit well. (Patterns and perch, shiner along with fire-tiger.)

Water depths and our best bites have been 20 feet and shallower right now.

Other fishing methods and drifting using floaters tipped with live-bait and "gulp."
Evening anglers have been reporting some success as well just before dark and into several hours after darkness.

We'll be back on the waters again in the morning and awaiting the Walleyes, good luck to all of you and don't be afraid to stop and say Hi!
Here are several photos of fish this past week including several Walleye my wife, Becky caught this morning in several hours of fishing. Also kind of interesting the other day and a kayak-er trolling and having success.
Good friend, Frank Schultz and even some shoreline wildlife!
