I am considering fishing some of the local Pro/Am walleye tournaments. What does all you fellow fishermen/women think of this idea? My goal is to learn about these elusive walleyes, that drive me nuts.....but i still come back, year after year. Now that i am retired, i have more time to persue them.

Thanks ahead of time, all.

I am in the third season of the FLW league and wouldn't trade the experience for anything. Through this event, I have had the chance to fish with the likes of Sunshine and Jerry. Made a lot of good friends and learned quite a bit about walleye fishing. You won't regret this choice. The FLW still has another WI event this season on 'bago. There may still be a chance to register.

I say go for it! My husband and I are retired and fish as a couple. We enjoy fishing and God's great outdoors. We found everyone to be very helpful to us when we got started. This is our second year fishing Walleye tournaments and the memories are priceless. Check at your local bait shops and on forums to find tournaments in your area. Also the GNWC in your state is a good tournament choice.
