I am going up to Canada the 16th of Spetember for a week of walleye/perch/northern/smallmouth fishing. Has anyone ever fished around the Perrault Falls area? I am going to be fishing on Florence Lake, and would like any helpful suggestions or hints for fishing in this area. You can e-mail me at [email protected]. Many thanks ahead of time.

Tight lines.

I've fished the Cedar Lake chain in that area. We did wwell on cranks casting the reefs and shoreline rocky areas, and jigging the deeper structure. Not sure about the lake you'll be on, but if it's anything like the waters there that I fished, traditional trolling and casting methods will fill your livewell quickly.

OK. Thanks for the info, sworrall. Sounds to me like the traditional methods should work then. I'll let all know how we did when i get back, which should be around the 22nd or 23rd of this month. Again...Thanks..

August 20th I was up West of by Ear Falls for a week. From our experience don't rely on Gulp baits! I was at a seminar on Canadian fishing where we were told to bring Gulp crawlers or tails so we didn't have to rely on real minnows or crawlers. Jig/minnow/crawler fishing most times was literally a fish every cast and then I'd put on a Gulp tail or crawler and I could barely get a bite. I wish it wasn't so but that was our experience. Because I can be stubborn I really tried to make it work over several days but after watching my brother-in-law reel in walleye after walleye I gave up and went back to real minnows or crawlers.

I've got about $40 worth of Gulp stuff that I'd give away to anyone coming thru Wausau.
