Since tourny season is about over, I figured guys and gals wont be so tite lippded. So here is my question. Where are they biting????? I havn't been on the water in a month. I bought a new house and had to deal with all the joys, problems and honey dew lists that come with it. I told my wife last night that I'm done and need to catch a walleye before I go insane. She said it was to late! any help would be great.

Member Posts: 1314 Location: Menasha, WI | I'm glad to see I'm not the only one catching those little eyes. I was beginning to question my abilities ![]() After an exteneded cold streak, the last couple of trips I've picked up a couple of eaters. Had to work really hard, move around a lot, and have been just plain lucky. No consistent pattern but I've generally been up on top of the reef if there's a wind or along the edges if it's flat. Anchoring and casting a 1/6th oz jig w/ crawler OR w/ a plain hook 1/2 crawler behind a split shot when there's a breeze. Slooooowly drifting with the same presentation when it's calmer.

Member Posts: 1314 Location: Menasha, WI | Pulled a double shift today bouncing around west side reefs. Was on the lake from 6am-10am. Fished hard but nothing much to show for it. Lots of sheep, a few small perch, a couple of little whities and a few 8"-10" smallies. Went back out with my 3 & 5 year old boys for fun from 2pm-5pm and we caught 3 small eyes, a bunch of smallies including a few over 15", a half dozen whities, and kept busy all day with sheeps. Even though we didn't get the dinner we were looking for it was a lot of fun. The kids don't care what they catch as long as they're catching something.. Edited by Viking 9/17/2005 9:54 PM
