"This might be controversial to say here, but in all fairness to Brett, I'd like to see him get a chance to make another run at a SB, but I don't think the Packers will have the supporting players around him in time for him to get that shot playing in Green Bay. "

Farve's best shot at getting another chance at a super bowl would be to sign as a backup QB on Sharper's team.

Theres no arguing the Bears need a QB. They haven't had anything close to a QB since they let McMahon go, what 15-18 years ago.

The Bears don't need a guy like Brett, they are not going to throw the ball 30-40 times a game with that defense!
Brett would be better suited in the AFC where they throw the ball more! Oakland would be a great place for him, they have talent a WR and he'll throw the ball all over the field! Or Miami
or Buffalo. Or the Rams if they could get some sort of line protection.
This will be the 1st losing year under Brett and injuries and 2 new linemen have killed the Packers this year. I have no idea what there cap room looks like, but they better get some help this offseason or I would'nt come back if I were Brett. Just think if they did'nt get so banged up this year, they would have won alot of those close games.

He's gonna be under more pressure this weekend than he has faced all year, I hope they don't get him killed!

What's a 'Packer'?

I'm one of the very rare Wisconsin residents who has NOTHING that says Green Bay Packers on it. Takes up too much fishing and hunting time on Sundays!

Vikings are those guys with the wood boats who beat Columbus, right?

Oh man, all anybody is talking about here is next year we'll have Mooch as the new head coach. I hope not. He was a good assistant, but he has been miserable as the lions head coach. Alot of people don't like Sherman, but I think more for his GMming, than his coaching. But don't forget, he hhad help for a couple years as GM, and the guy helping was the same guy who didn't draft all that great in the first couple rounds. See my comment about who drafted T-Buck, and J Reynolds.

Farve is at his best with a good running game, and he only has to pass 25-30 times per game. He'd be just what the Bears would need to go all the way. But that will never happen. Can't trade him for cap reasons, and they wouldn't trade to a team in their dividion even if they could. Plus, he doesn't want to learn a new system. As for him going to Sharper's team? No way. I believe Sharper, while a big play guy, turned into a cancer in the locker room, and that, more than his diminshing athletic ability, is why the Packers let him go.

I think Sherman and Farve get one more year together. Get some guys back healthy, get that line playing together and well, get a running back that will hang on to the ball and stay healthy, and get a tight end that doesn't play so soft. Then, fix a few things on defense, and the Pack could be right back in the hunt. If this team could have made half the mistakes they have this year, they'd be leading the division.

It looks like the Sheppard Family will all get to see a game at Lambeau this year. Ticket prices are plummeting. I'm thinking the Bears game on X-Mas Day. What an outing that would be! There's only a couple handfuls of games left to see #4, So I think I want to do that. Nothing better than a Dec game at Lambeau!
