Subject: WWA Red Wing Tournament March 26th

The second WWA Minnesota Division tournament was held Sunday March 26th on pool #4 at Red Wing. While the first WWA tournament (open event) held also at Red Wing Pool #4 the day before greeted anglers with overcast skies, today's event had bright sunny skies with temperatures in the high 40 degree range.
First Place went to the team of Richard Young and Nate Cadwell. They vertical jigged with minnows on key spots on the river, and although they never hooked a walleye, they found the saugers and weighed in a five fish limit tipping the scales at 14.35 pounds. They also had the big fish of the day with a sauger weighing 3.10 pounds.
Second Place went again to the 2005 WWA Minnesota Team of the Year Roger and Sue Hugill who brought two fish to the scale weighing 4.24 pounds. Like the previous day, they used a three-way rig with live bait to boat their catch.
Third Place went to Keith and Pat Constant. They also used a jig and a minnow vertical jigging throughout the river, and weighed in one fish that registered 2.95 pounds. Congratulations to the top finishers!

-Mike
