I have two fond memories and pictures.

One pict is holding a walleye and muskie, another is holding a smallmouth and muskie. On both occasions the muskie hit the game fish and would not let go. This all happened in Canada.

This happened several times to me. First was bass fishing, way back when, on Pewaukee. I was fighting a LM on Taylors Bay, and a 40 incher grabbed the bass. Wouldn't let go for a long time. That was the last day I fished for bass on purpose. Shortly after, I started my muskie addiction.

Also on Pewaukee, Memorial day, out with my 8 year old Eric, fishing Crappies. We were doing quite well, and had about 15, 12-15 inchers in the livewell. He was reeling in a nice one, and as it approached the side of thew boat, I reached down to lip it. At the very moment I got my thumb to the Crappie, a high 40 inch ski came rocketing up from the weed edge, and T-boned the crappie. Came clear out of the water with it! I very nearly lost my hand that day! Whew. Eric kept a little pressure on the line, and we could see the jig still in the crappie's mouth. He played the fish for several minutes, but then the muskie decide he wanted to finish her meal, and dove for the bottom. The jig popped out of the crappie, and that was the last we saw of either fish. That was cool!

A couple years ago, a ski took a walleye from a kid that was in my boat on a kids outing. I forgot the kid's name, but I'll bet he never forgot that sight.

Lastly, at the KLY Memorial Outing on Okauchee Lake last fall, Theedz set the hook on a jig eating 24" pike. As soon as that fish got near the surface, a 50" muskie T-boned that fish. That muskie squeezed that pike so hard, and punctured it's side, that air bubbles were coming out the sides of the pike. We laughed like kids on that one.

Here's a pic of the pike episode.

Was tossing surface lures for bass right at dusk. Pitched one out and my line started going, the drag was set tight but it wizzed the line right out. My pole headed skyward, in the fading light there was a huge owl taking off with my lure. Gave the line a good steady tug and he dropped his dinner, no harm done!
