Member Posts: 2567 Location: Manitowoc, WI | Doug, What will you be using this line for? Obviously fishing, but what type? I recommend Power Pro or Fireline if you want to use a superline, but I only use these types of line for certain applications, like jigging in extremely snaggy situations or around trees or cane beds. Otherwise, I use Trilene XT for just about everything else.

Something in the mono. pound of 12 to 17. Thanks Doug Doug. The SOFTEST brade on the market is a Cabela's brand called Rip Cord. I've been using 2-10 Rip Cord for years now jig fishing walleyes on the rivers and 8-30 casting for River King Salmon. Its strength and castability are awesome, but like all brades, its pricy. And No, I'm not sponsored by them. Edited by walleye express 4/12/2006 7:53 AM

Member Posts: 16 | Thanks for the replys. I'm setting up an outfit for our grandson. Kind of hard on equipment, so trying to go heavy. We'll be fishing in Canada this year, so just trying to put something together. Thanks everyone Doug
