I screwed one to my dash last week. The sonar is great, so is the gps, "but" it would lose position alot.
Sometimes it would blink in and out alot. The signal strength seemed fine. I took off my plastic wind shield. It may have helped. It only lost position twice after that, but I did move down river after that.
sometimes it take 5 to 10 minutes to lock on after power up.

Anybody have any experience with this unit yet? Is this normal performance for this unit?
By the way my hand held works just fine right next to the 334.

Forgot to mention the position accuracy bounces around from 50 ft to 600 ft. And the speed change from
0 up to 2mph when not moving sometimes.

Guys there is a recall on the 334 so that it to your dealer and have it replaced if it falls into the serial numbers taht are recalled

I put one on the bow and it would lose position more than I liked. I'll have to check that recall.

Thanks

Any idea on a way to find the Recall numbers. I wish I would have bought the 332 now.

My thoughts too on the 332, especially as easy as it would have been to hook into my X-25.

I tried the Lowrance 800 number - 800-324-1356 twice and it has been busy. I know Mondays and Tuesdays are high volume, but busy?

There are most likely alot of 334 calls coming in now with people getting out on the water.
