Congrats on a great finish Jerry!

I'm sure that you are disappointed that you did not make the cut. BUT you had a GREAT tournament and showed everyone what you are capable of by improving everyday. You're a real Pro. And you Rock!

We're all proud of YOU!

I agree!! Fantastic finish, Jerry. I have all the confidence in the world of you, and I am sure that you will have a great season. Enjoy your fishing, that is the most important thing...and I know that you are. Great news, and great work. I am proud to be associated with you.

Thanks for the positive comments Sunshine, StreakFreak, and Butch. It was indeed quite a week. Had I made a better decision on Day One, I might have made the finals and competed with Jeff Ryan. I fished the same area as Jeff on the first day for about 2 hours but left. Right after I left, the fish turned on. Doesn't that just figure??? To Jeff's credit, he really laid the wood to them, didn't he? I couldn't be happier for him.

I have to give alot of credit to my co-angler partners, as they were instrumental in making this high finish happen. And just to show how close I came to making the cut, I had the fish on that would have given me enough weight to be in the top 10 but she shook the hook before we could get the net under her. I had just put a 7 in the box and this one was about the same size. All this happened in the last 1/2 hour of the day, which makes you think "what if?".

Jerry. Those what ifs are what keep us tourny fisherman going. We had a what if on day 1 of the mwc on erie. We had 4 fish in the box and with 5 min left to fish, and we had one come unglued. We came in tied for 15th with 4 fish after day one.

Great job Jerry, that finish got you right back into the hunt for the big prize! (the Championship) Good luck at Devils if I don't see you on the water. Still makes me laugh everytime I think of Jeff smiling after each days wiegh-in. He was in a daze, and rightfully so. He made us all look like kids. lol

Well thanks Jerry, we are only half way there! I just hope I can keep it up. I'll take 23rds all year. lol
Devils should be fun, sounds like a great place to fish with many methods to catch them. Then Green Bay is one of my favorite new places in the world to fish. Keep up the good finishes and we have a chance to make the show! There is a great steak place just outside of town there. I want to go back just for the food, the championship is a bonus. lol
