Location: Rhinelander | Coverage begins this morning on the Missouri River in Chamberlain, South Dakota. 60 of the worlds top Walleye Pros teamed with a Co Angler will hit the water tomorrow morning at 8AM launching from Cedar Shores Resort. Stay with WalleyeFIRST for the best tournament coverage on the web. A cold front blew through yesterday evening, bringing west winds and cooler temps. Watch for the morning report and photos by 9 AM on the 10th. It snowewd in the Black Hills last night. This event runs from 8 to 5 on the water, so the weigh in will be later than usual; more on this during the morning report. Winds are supposed to be 20 to 30 MPH today, but Pro John Bergsma didn't seem to be too concerned. "I practiced for big winds, I'm trolling pretty fast," he told me this morning. The bite has been fantastic, according to several of the Pros I spoke to this morning. | ||

Location: Rhinelander | The PWT Super Pro opening ceremonies began at 8 AM in mid 40 degree temps and brisk winds forecast to hit near 30 MPH later today. 61 boats headed out looki ng for a limit and the much needed kicker on the Missouri River out of Chamberlain, SD. The anglers will fish from 8 AM to 5 PM, and do a drive through weigh in at 6 PM. Watch for the Live Leaderboard to fire up about 5:50 PM tonight. The bite has been good, with reports of 50 to 70 fish days. If the front didn't shut down the bite, there should be good numbers of limits coming to the stage tonight. Location: Rhinelander | The wind howled through the weigh in site and rain showers blew through tonight as the Pro field weighed in. All but two had limits, and only a couple pounds seperates 1st from 30th. Many of the anglers spoke of 30 to 70 fish during the day, but many were 'cookie cutter' keepers or a bit small. Yar Craft Pro Jay Jannay has the big fish just missing 5 pounds, and sits in second place behind John Butts by a fraction. Tomorrow promises to be warmer with NW winds 10 to 25, easy fishing compared to today. Stay with WalleyeFIRST for the best coverage on the web.
