I just bought a tiller model t-8 kicker motor and want it mounted on the drivers side in the back of the boat. Will this affect my transducers and the way my depthfinders work which will be right below the kicker or will the motor affect the cone? Any help would be great. I am bringing my boat to the dealer tomorrow! I want it there so I can see my depthfiner on the console. What will work???? Any help???

Thanks Alot

You might experience degraded sonar performance with your transducers on the same side as the kicker, when you are using the kicker. This is usually in the form what appears to be surface clutter, from the turbulence created in the water around the kicker.

If you are able, I would suggest moving the transducer(s) to the other side. Otherwise, try it and see, and move it only if there is a big problem.
