Subject: CRACKED FRONT LIVEWELL LINE

Anyone get a crack in their front livewell line? I am guessing this happened over winter. Any tips for fixing it or how much it will cost to get it fixed? It is 98 Sylvan Viper 180 fiberglass boat. I can pull up a piece of the floor about 4 feet worth, but that is it and the livewell line at least goes another 5 feet. Not sure where to start if I can even fix it myself. Any help appreciated or ideas.

Well, here's what worked for me. This may or may not work on your boat. I assume this hose is on the bottom of your livewell, the drain line. From inside your livewell remove the plastic nut that holds the drain fitting in place. IMPORTANT; attach a wire or string to this fitting, you will need this to pull in the new hose and fitting. Now pull out the old hose. Attach new hose to new fitting with new clamp. Using the pull wire, pull the new hose and fitting into place. Replace nut with a little sealer, silicone or plumber's putty. It isn't easy but it can be done. Oh yeah, you will need an entire 12 pack to complete this project!! Good luck
