Hopefully with a little bit of luck, Jason Brauch and Josh Swanton. Yep, that's who I'm rooting for.

Hey Black Lab, if you and your partner leave that blonde alone this year my money is on you. Let's keep it on the east shore!

whoever cheats most effectively as there usually are no boat checks pre-tourney

I thought they changed the rules this year and added boat checks. No? Is it 5 or 6 walleyes per day?

Probably whoever has the biggest fish tied up or whoever can stuff the most lead inside of the fish.
But if someone does win fair and square they can feel that much better about themselves knowing that they beat a couple of other teams that just can't play by the rules.
I really shouldn't talk this way, but I've heard about and seen too many shenanigans going on durring this tounement every year. Good luck to all the honest fishermen this weekend!

How they gonna do boat checks when you can dock anywhere on the lake and motor to the starting line, and don't tell me a quick drive by the starting boat is a boat check cause that don't mean squat.

Most local bar tourneys are better run than this one.

Hey guest it is no different than flw events as far as boat checks and driving by so i suppose were all cheaters in that tourny series also.

Ryan,

Can you be more specific on what shenanigans you have seen?

nope, never once said all are cheaters, most are very honest respectful people and I would just like to see an event at this level done with more professional measures of checks and balances in place.

people lie, cheat, steal for $50 and it would be nieve to think that for $13,000 or more that they don't/won't so why not take a little more time to clean it up by doing the little things such as formal boat checks and central docking of all participants

oh, by the way the answer to the above question is that the fishing is really secondary to all the rest of Walleye Weekend and all of us tourney fishers will still do it regardless of rules.

Yes I do fish it and yes I do have the right brand motor.

Well, I am going to do my best to make a good showing, so I'm pulling for me and Jim Kissinger. Going to be a bit of a crap shoot again, as I will have absolutely no prefish time until tomoroow morning. But we shall prevail, and have a fun tourney!

Dennis, I don't know if you heard about the guy last year ( not gonna mention any names on here) that clipped lead to the fish's gills. He said he did it to keep the fish upright. But how do you "forget" to take them out on both days.
Then the stringer of 3 fish over 20" that my dad's friend found one year. There were 3 walleyes tied to a milk jug or soda bottle. My Dad's friend trolled by it and decided to pick up what he thought was trash. It turned out to be three nice live eyes on the end of the string. There is only one reason why someone would do that.
It's too bad people are like this but its not gonna stop me from having fun in tournements.

The rules have changed this year. The Lighthouse Anglers Fishing Club will be checking all boats both days starting at 4:00a.m. 3 locations will be setup to have the boats checked. This will be dissucussed at the rules meeting Friday night. If you dont have your boat checked in the morning your bag from that day will not count.
Also three teams one being the first place team the other two at random are sent to Milwaukee for a lie detector test each year. Remember the first place team from a couple of years ago? Thay lost it all after the test.
