The coverage will begin this evening at about 5:45 or so, with photos and video coverage later this evening.

Jim Kalkofen, Executive Director of the PWT talked with WalleyeFIRST about the Ottertail bite a bit Sunday at the Merc nationals, and said the Pros had found the fish, and some were on good fish and a good bite. It looks like a warming trend the next few days with reasonably stable weather.

Watch for the Live Leaderboard to fire up at about 6 PM.

The bite was off from prefishing standards for many of the pros according to the PWT on-stage interviews. A few of the Pros are on good fish, and are confident they can hold the pattern for another two days.

Day one leader DARYL CHRISTENSEN said in a WalleyeFIRST interview he had good fish going all week, and feels the pattern should hold for him. Daryl said he's alone on his spots ( he has 10 that are producing) and feels he has plenty of room. Watch for a WalleyeFIRST interview with Stowmaster/tracker/Mercury's Pro DARYL CHRISTENSEN later tonight or early tomorrow.

The weather looks fairly stable for the next couple days, and Pros like Tommy Skarlis feel the fishing will improve every day.
