Nice job and great report, Dominic. This weather the past week is crazy, and makes it tough to get a consistant pattern going. Hopefully it will stabilize for Otter Street.

Probably won't get out on Bago for a while, til the new boat gets here. But I've got the FLW on GB to prefish for in the next couple weeks anyway. That should be a fun time. Keep hitting it, and good luck.

Hey Purple, How do you know when to switch from crawlers to cranks? What indicators do you look for? I always seem to be pulling cranks when I should have been harnessing and vice-versa.

There is the general rule of 50-degree water temp. Under 50 cranks over 50 harnesses. That is true for the Bay, but on Bago it depends if you're on fish or not.

What I mean is if I'm looking for fish I want to cover more ground so I'll use cranks. Trolling at a GPS speed of 1.8 to 2.5. If I'm having success with cranks, why switch? If the fish stop "biting" and my electronics tell me there are still fish there, I'll switch over to harnesses and slow down to .9 to 1.4.

In this case maybe I've caught all the aggressive/active fish and the neutral fish will go if I give them something that stays in the strike zone a little longer.
