Member Posts: 1314 Location: Menasha, WI | I thought I finally had my Bago trophy trolling cranks this morning but then I saw that it was a 10# sheep; talk about disappointment. After switching over to crawlers, fishing was good up on the north end. Total of 12 eyes, one 19"er, one 18"er with rest the usual 12"-14". Harnesses w/ hammered copper blades in 10-12 fow at 1.1mph. Also got a very nice smallie this morning, didn't put the tape on her but I'm guessing 19" range. After I put #5 in the box I tried jerking some perch and pulled 5 or 6 but nothing bigger than 9". Fished the East shore on bago today, between Camumet Co park and Stockbridge. I actually put in at Jefferson and ran over there. I caught over 40 Walleyes today and only 2 were under 15 inches. 6 over 20 and a bunch of 17's. Early morning Glass #5 Shad in Perch, 90 feet back 1.7 mph & Storm Firetigers 100 feet running 14/6 fireline. Afternoon in dead calm. 2 oz bottom bouncers, harnesses & boards with blue holigraphic blades @ 1.5 mph. Late afternoon, #5 Glass perch 90 feet back. After 6, I paid the price for the long run and got soaked coming back. Met a couple of guys at the boat landing that mentioned they came back this evening after taking home a limit in the morning. I hope you get caught for double dipping and loose your fishing license. Lots of really nice fish on East shore, be nice and take care of our resources, please don't over bag just because you think you can get away with it. The Unknown Fisherman

Member Posts: 2567 Location: Manitowoc, WI | Unknown, The next time your run into such a situation with guys out ther double-dipping, take down their boat number and call the DNR poacher's hotline. We need to eliminate game hogs like this to protect the resource. If you don't want to get involved in a DNR type situation, email me at [email protected] and I'll be happy to take care of it.

Member Posts: 1314 Location: Menasha, WI | Another good day today. Only 9 eyes but the size was up a bit from yesterday, a 21", 18", 2 - 15", and 5 smaller fish. Same crawler harness presentation as yesterday produced smaller fish from 6-8am then nothing. At 9:30, I switched to jig and a crawler and got the bigger fish slowly drifting on the flat water. A few decent perch for a kicker. Edited by Viking 7/23/2006 11:27 AM Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]()

Member Posts: 1195 Location: Orland Park, IL | Excellent report. I gonna have to look for that dead hat. Love it. Fished east side last night outta pipe. First time for the 5 yo trollin, had to keep it short. 2.5 miles out. Launched at 530 fished to 8. Its was boys weekend. The boy gotta 17 incher but was kinda spent after turning the crank on the reel, when I had 105 feet out on the yellow hot and tot. We finished with a few sheepsheads, 5 large white bass, and 7 walleyes kept 4, 1 -17, 1-16, 1-15 and short, gill bleeding 13. He loved it. Pic forthcoming. Member Posts: 59 Location: Appleton, WI | A question for the unknown and I think I know who you are too as I really enjoy this site and reading all the good and informational reports. They tend to help the novice like myself on what to try. Thanks!! Question about the glass shadraps: I went to fleet to pick up a few and all I seen were rattleing/suspending ones. Are these the ones your all using? I didn't buy any as I wasn't sure. Them fish are going to have to bite what I have for now. Was out last Monday in the rough waters drifting over Stevens but could not get anything but a bunch of sheeps and a few perch. Way to rough when I'm by myself to try and troll. Going out today with hopes of catching dinner. Thanks for the good reports!! Mike ![]()

Jayman I betcha you take that hat off and you two have matching hair, no? I wish my hair were that neat after getting up at 5am ![]() Nice pics M_Komo. Looks like the little guy had fun!

Viking beat me to it... yes those are the ones, I tried the other colors such as crawfish, brown purple and all I caught was sheephead. I never caught anything but Walleyes on the Perch all day with the exception of 1 small whitebass. I also ran just about every other bait in my box including Kaboom Shinners, Hot-nTots, Sparkletails, Ripshads, Deep Husky Jerks, Taildancers, Walleyedivers just to see what they would hit. Glass Perch was the ticket. They sure were smacking the lures on Saturday, no doubt when you got a hit. Could have been all the 12-14 inchers I'm been getting all year got me used to staring at the boards for the slightest movement. The Unknown Fisherman
