| Next time I think it's a good idea to try and fish on Bago after a huge storm blows through in late July, will some one tell me to stay home or let the air out of my tires!
I fished 8 hours today trying everything I could think of trolling and all I got was 1 - 8 inch Walleye, 2 - 6 inch Whitebass and 2 - 11 inch Sheephead. The bugs were horrible, the surface of the water reminded me of a bad day on Ganoes reef covered with weeds. Not sure how the morning would have been, I got out at 12:00 and could not connect despite my best efforts. Nothing on Glass Perch, Nothing on Little Rippers, Nothing on Hot n Tots, Nothing on Harnesses 34-45 back on 3/8 oz inlines, Nothing on 2 Oz bottom bouncers and harness. I tried, Dave's Kaboom shinners, Winning Streaks and I could not catch a Walleye today.
I'm heading back to the Bay of GB next week.

Location: Menasha, WI | You weren't alone guest. I had bad day too. Not an eye in the boat today.
I was on the water at 5:25am and was chased off by lightining by 5:45am. Good thing because we had a hell of a storm move through.
Hit the water again at 11am. It was pretty rough, so I fished the river in front of Jefferson Park for an hour and picked up a few perch and a couple decent smallies jigging. By 12:30 the lake had laid down and I headed back out but the wind kept changing directions and I couldn't establish a good program. By 3pm the lake went dead flat, the bugs hit, and I needed lunch. I guess that's why they call it fishing, not catchin'. |
