So what do you guys use? I used Berkley Iron Silk in the mint green but have found that they have discontinued this line. Any ideas? What have you tried and liked or disliked?

Mono...I like Berkley XL, but it all depends on the water, or structure you fish. In some conditions I run a fireline mainline like 10 or 12 lb test and a 6 or 8 lb mono snell...That way you never lose the whole rig

This year I used Spider Wire Ultra Cast Tracer Yellow in 15 pound test. It is the diameter of 4 pound line.

It holds knots very well for its diameter and once you use a no stretch line for bobber fishing, you will never look back.

This line worked well on Bago, Mille Lacs and here at home (Devils Lake). Just use a two foot leader of your favorite mono or floro and you are all set.

I can tell you that you should be very glad they discontinued that line.. iron silk is the worst line i ever used.. it gets very brittle after minimal time in the sun.. ive used all the following and never had a prob. XT - XL - MAXX - CAJUN - VANISH..
