MIDWEST WALLEYE SERIES (MWS) FOURTH STOP SCHEDULED SEMPTEMBER 10 ON THE BAY OF GREEN BAY, MENOMINEE, MI

APPLETON: The Midwest Walleye Series (MWS) fourth stop of the 2006 season will be in Menominee, MI on Sunday September 10, 2006 and will include fishing the entire Bay of Green Bay.

The registration and rules meeting will be at Menominee Marina located on Doyle Drive, Menominee; MI. Registration is 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with the rules meeting at 6:00 PM on Saturday, September 9, 2006. Teams must be off the water by 5:00 PM Saturday September 9, 2006.

There are still openings in this tournament. We will take entries up to the rules meeting, However entries postmarked or taken after Sept. 2, 2006 will be charged a processing fee. Entries are available on our web site www.fishtfm.com or call 920-731-3474 or e-mail [email protected] and I will mail you an entry form.

Tournament hours will be 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM with the entire Bay being open to fishing, The weigh-in and boat checks will be at Menominee Marina.

Next stop for the MWS will be the Championship September 30, 2006.

The MWS will hold the tournament Championship September 30, 2006 in Menominee, MI. Also with the addition of some new sponsors and continued support of past sponsors, this year’s championship payout has been increased. The top twenty five teams of the series will fish the championship tournament and attend the championship banquet. There will be no entry fee for the qualifiers.

The MWS circuit is a professional, competitive, and affordable fishing opportunity. Results are posted on our website www.fishtfm.com as well as other web sites. Also, the Midwest Outdoors Magazine covers the tournament results. A subscription to the Midwest Outdoors Magazine in included with the MWS membership.

The MWS is run by Fishermen for Fishermen.

The major sponsors for the Midwest Walleye Series are Ranger Boats, Mercury Marine, MotorGuide and Okuma Rods & Reels.

Site sponsors include Anglers Pride, Action Discs, Bait Rigs, Ka Boom Lures, Lakemaster Chips, Stow Maser Nets, Midwest Outdoors, Troll Master and N.E.W. Marine Supplies.

I have been getting a lot of questions on how many fish the teams may weigh. We will allow the teams to weigh for fish

Jim,

Looks like a chance for heavy winds. If that happens do you call a blow day or restrict us to the river?

If we have heavy winds it would be very difficult to reschedule the tournament. I think if weather is bad this would be our only option to restrict teams to the river foe everyone's safety. I will make that call Sunday morning and am hoping for having the entire Bay open. I just wanted to let everyone know if they want to spend some time pre fishing the river.

Thanks Jim,

I appreciate you giving us the "heads up" prior to our departure.

The word should get out there and everyone can plan accordingly. It's a tough call regardless of the final decision. I'm sure that everyone undersatnds that.

the only way i think we will have a blow day is with 5+ footers i hope to god we dont have a blow day!!!!! i checked weather.com and they said 11mph out of the ene on sunday. i dont know whats more reliable so...
