Subject: Correct Prop for 219 DC

Can someone give me a hand I recently purchased a 1998 219 DC with a 175 FICHT. The holeshot seems sugglish and it is only topping out at 42-44 mph @ 4800rpm it has a 4 blade 13.5/23 Raker.

I have read quite a few posts about the speed of the boat and it seems I am missing something.

Thanks
Dan

That's a lot of pitch for that boat. I bet your going need to be around a 19 pitch, same prop. I'll see if the Keenans remember what they ran when they had Stratos.

My partner has a 14" 24p 4blade on his and it runs fast and pops out of the hole, and he's only running a 150 intruder on his. I would think the 175 ficht would turn the 23 - you should be touching 60 with that set-up.

Zach, 4 blade, I assume a Renegade prop. Do you know if he has the small hub? The Renegade 4 blades come in two different size blades, small hub (bass I think?)and offshore (large hub). I would assume a small hub prop at 24"P. The 23 raker could possibly still be too much prop?
