| Just curious to see what everybody thinks about when to switch from spinners to cranks? |

Location: Manitowoc, WI | In most cases, I'd say when the water temperature approaches 50 degrees I switch. However, during the last few years, there are way too many times that I caught them on cranks when the water was still warmer and too many times when I couldn't get them to go on cranks in November and I caught them on spinners.
The nice part about the fall is as water temperature cool, the presentation tends to be slower in speed, so you can run both at the same time. Mix and match, try everything, and let the fish decide what they want. |

| Grouse,
There have been 3 of us in different boats all fishing the Ganoes Beach area all year long and all three of us have tried both cranks and harnesses in the last 10 days without catching a Walleye. I know where the fish are right now, I just can't get them to hit any one of the hundreds of different crankbaits or any color/speed/depth on a harness. 50 degrees is my majic number to switch to cranks. I did manage to put some nice fish in the boat last fall on the bay on Harnesses when the water temp was in the mid 40's, but cranks usually do the trick under the magic 50 number.

| You guys need to rethink the temp thing. I have pulled harnesses into november and sometimes out fish cranks Its a pain when your hands are cold and lol you have to keep the crawlers warm what a concept I have caught fish up to 11# so try it aguess the thing is confidence I found it to work Jim |

| Thanks for the feedback just wondering what others thought. I have yet to have much luck with cranks on green bay. |
