Morning brought brisk winds and cool temperatures with partly cloudy skies with a promise for warmer temperatures for the FLW Pro and Co Angler final field of ten.

A contingent of the South Dakota National Guard presented the colors as the Opening ceremony began this morning at Spring Creek.

Fishing from 10 rigged and ready Sponsor's boats, the field left the docks at 7:30 Am and will return at 3:30.

Kevin McQuoid said in a WF Interview this morning he expects fishing to be tough, but that he is confident his fish will be 'in the area they've been'. He's on a trolling bite, and feels he will find some fish.

Watch for continuing coverage this afternoon from the FLW Wal Mart Headquarters in Pierre, South Dakota.

How do they determine who gets what boat today? Looks like there are Rangers, Polar Craft, and G3's? If it is by position, I wonder which make a C'liner owner like Rick Franklin will choose?

It certainly could change the way a guy fishes if he was a glass guy and went to aluminum. Characteristics of each could help or hinder the out come. seems a bit unfair unless glass to glass or alum to alum.

Rick fished out of the Polar Kraft. He was told to drive her like he stole her and that he did. From what Rick said change of boat was not an issue. I am not sure the Pro's really had a choice of what boat they got to run.
