| Fished near Red Banks this past weekend and the river water level seems to be much lower than in the past years.Lack of rainfall or other reasons?. |

| According the the USGS: the Wolf (at New London) is about average water height for this time of year. Their records go back 92 years.
The wolf has been real low for a while and I think that it can be attirbuted to the lack of rain that we had in August and September.
Here is the website to get real-time water data on the wolf at New London:

| From my observations in NL this last sunday, it looks like the past week's rains have helped and the river appears to be coming up a little. With a little bit of luck walleyes should be biting soon. |

| Thanks for the responses.I haven't been on the river for two years so maybe it's just my percepton that the water level seemed shallow compared to how I remembered it.
I forgot to state that we caught 13 white bass, 4 walleye, 2 smallmouth and way to many sheepshead on chartruse floating jig heads,
split shot and minnow.
